In Northwestern Montana at 1,800′, the lowest elevation in the State, we are blessed with a long and glorious growing season. I love the many shapes and colors of flowers that grow in my yard and garden. I enjoy arranging bouquets of flowers and placing them in vases against unusual colored flat backgrounds. I sometimes paint the flowers still in the garden if their life span is short. My challenge is to paint quickly and energetically hopefully keeping the paintings as fresh as the flowers themselves.
